Gutta Cutter: A New Endodontic Tool

By | Videos

A nice video demonstrating the Gutta Cutter, a new, small form factor, endodontic tool for working with Gutta-Percha. Do you use one of these? If so, what do you think of it?

Developed for the easy, safe removal of excess gutta-percha and thermally dense filling in your endodontic cases.

It is composed of endo-remover and trimmer operated by two AAA, Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, which are included in the package.

Slim : Feels comfortable during treatment in the mouth like dental headpieces.
Lightweight : Weighs only 50g together with 2 cells which makes it easy to manipulate during treatment.

There is no need for alcohol lamp or burner to heat an instrument to remove excess material.
Also, eliminates the need for an assistant during the procedure.

Use of NI-MH batteries insures fast responsive heating and provides an inexpensive, rechargeable source of power. NI-MH batteries perform much better than alkaline batteries in this application. There are about 400~500 charging cycles in a NI-MH battery. Normal usage is between 15~20 times with batteries fully charged.

Such a great new tool. We work with a few practices who have purchased these and haven’t looked back since.
