Does your dental website function on a mobile device?

By | Articles

I just saw a demo for a new service for dentists that I think has potential. MobileHero.

The technology world is changing, yet again, and a new platform has emerged: mobile. By 2013 more people will access the web on their phone than their PC, and your website and marketing strategy need to adapt.

MobileHero automatically takes the key elements of your practice web site and creates a mobile version. That is a version that is easy to see and navigate on a mobile phone screen. It also creates large thumb friendly tabs for the most common activities patients or potential patients are likely to engage in. That is, calling the office or finding the office on a map and getting directions.

One of the things I like about MobileHero is that you can use it with any existing web site you do not need a website designed and maintained by them. You can also use the service to track and monitor the calls that come from the mobile site.

All the studies show that mobile Internet use is growing at an amazing rate.  Already 30% of web traffic comes from mobile devices and based on current trends people will soon be using their mobile device to search the web more often than they use their big desktop computers. 94% of smartphone users look for local information on their phone. Every dental office should have a mobile friendly web site.

If you use one of the major dental web designers like Sesame or TNT you can get a mobile site from them. However for the majority of dentists who have a local, more generic web site MobileHero offers an interesting alternative.

  1. gps tracker says:

For dentistry practices, selecting the proper dentist marketing mix is crucial to advertising themselves effectively and within their set budget. By choosing the most effective campaigns for their business, dentistry professionals can help their practices stand out amongst the competition. It also helps them better target those that would visit their offices.

  2. Totally agree that mobile friendly websites for all industries will become even more important in times to come. Will definitely have a look at MobileHero. Thanks
